ITINERARY

DAY ONE - ARRIVE AMMAN

On arrival you will be met and transferred to our hotel for a two night stay in the capital of Jordan, Amman. The remainder of the day is at leisure. 

Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. 


DAY TWO- AMMAN

Today we’ll visit Ajlun Castle. Built in 1184 it is a fine example of Islamic architecture. After lunch at a local restaurant we continue to the Roman City tour of Jerash “Gerasa “. One of the best preserved roman cities in the world, sometimes known as the Pompeii of the East.

After time at leisure enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.


DAY THREE - AMMAN - PETRA

We embark on our journey to Petra today. En route visit the mosaic filled city of Madaba and also see the mighty crusader castle at Kerak before arriving in Petra for a two night stay late in the afternoon.

After time at leisure enjoy dinner at your hotel. 


DAY FOUR - PETRA

Today we’ll tour one of the new seven wonders, the Red rose city of Petra. We’ll spend the day with our guide, exploring the Siq, the Treasury, the roman theatre, and the Royal tombs.

Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner at our hotel. 


DAY FIVE - PETRA - WADI RUM

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Jordan’s magnificent desert landscape of Wadi Rum. On arrival at the camp we’ll have lunch, and later enjoy a 4WD desert sunset ride before dining under the stars and spending the night in a Bedouin tented camp.

Tents include a dining area and a private entrance. The bathroom is fitted with a bathtub or a shower. 


DAY SIX - WADI RUM - DEAD SEA

Our journey today takes us to the lowest point on earth, The Dead Sea.

The unusually warm, incredibly buoyant and mineral-rich waters have attracted visitors since ancient times, including King Herod the Great and the beautiful Egyptian Queen, Cleopatra.

We’ll enjoy two nights at the Dead Sea, with dinner at our hotel. 


DAY SEVEN - DEAD SEA

Today is at leisure to float in the Dead Sea or try a spa treatment at your own expense.


DAY EIGHT - DEAD SEA - ALEXANDRIA

We’ll make our way to Alexandria, Egypt by road and air. After we’ve settled at our hotel, we’ll enjoy dinner. 


DAY NINE - ALEXANDRIA

Today we visit the national Museum, the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, the Qaitbay Citadel and Pompey’s Pillar, a 25m high red granite column.

Afterwards, we continue to the Alexandria Library. The Library walls are carved with giant letters, hieroglyphs and symbols from every known alphabet around the globe. 

DAY TEN - ALEXANDRIA - GIZA

After breakfast we visit El Alamein, famous as the place where the allied forces of WWII gained a decisive victory over the Axis Forces. Later we continue to Giza, home of the Pyramids. Here we’ll stay two nights in a deluxe Pyramid View room at Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa. 


DAY ELEVEN - GIZA

Our tour today will take us to the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World with our Egyptologist guide. We’ll meet the enigmatic Sphinx crouching at the foot of Chephrenís Causeway and visit the Papyrus Institute to see how papyrus was made in ancient times.

After an included lunch, we’ll discover the pyramids of Memphis and Sakkara. 


DAY TWELVE- GIZA - LUXOR

Today we’ll transfer to the airport for a flight to Luxor, where we’ll embark on a luxurious 4 night Nile cruise. Our contemporary themed cabins have panoramic windows and balcony rail.

After settling in on the ship and lunch, we’ll visit East Bank including the Temple of Luxor and Temple Karnak. 


DAY THIRTEEN - CRUISING THE NILE

This morning we visit Luxor’s West Bank, one of the most awe- inspiring landscapes in Egypt. Today we’ll discover the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Momnon and the most famed collection of elaborate tombs, the Valley of the Kings. 


DAY FOURTEEN - CRUISING THE NILE

We’ll continue to Edfu, taking in the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s finest sights.

Afterwards we’ll return to the ship and sail to the agricultural town of Kom Ombo to view the towns two Temples dedicated to the gods, Sobek and Horus. This town is famous for its twin temples, aligned in perfect symmetry. 


DAY FIFTEEN - CRUISING THE NILE

Early today we’ll visit the High Dam and Philae temple before returning to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon we’ll sail the Nileon a Felucca around Kitchener’s island as well as visiting Botanical island. 


DAY SIXTEEN - ASWAN - CAIRO

This morning disembark our Nile cruise and take a short flight to visit the impressive temple of Abu Simbel, which is guarded by four colossal statues of Ramses 11. Afterwards, we’ll return to Aswan for our flight to Cairo for a two night stay.


DAY SEVENTEEN - CAIRO

Today we’ll take in the ancient sites of the city. Visit the famous Egyptian Museum, (including entrance to the mummies room), the Citadel of Saladin, the alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali and the old bazaar of Khan el Khalili. Tonight we’ll celebrate your final night of the tour with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.


DAY EIGHTEEN - CAIRO

After breakfast we will say goodbye to Egypt and make our way to the airport for our flight home.
